Helping JROTC raise some funds

This year a local JROTC chapter decided to try something new to raise funds for their trip to State Nationals by selling dog tags. The idea came from one of the students in the organization who spotted our prior posts about the effectiveness of fundraisers using X-Tag dog tags.

They started by getting some dog tags printed with the JROTC emblem and offering them at their drill meetings. People then started requesting personalized dog tags and they decided to lease a machine and test it out.

Well the JROTC chapter made more than what they needed to reach State Nationals and have decided to continue using X-Tag as a way to raise funds for other trips and costs that they incur.

For more information on how X-Tag dog tags can be a great fundraiser for your organization give us a call at 305-890-2976 to speak with one of our X-Tag Business Specialists.

Starting a custom dog tag business? We got info!

Dog tags – originally used by the military as a form of identification and to report a soldier’s medical condition are no longer serving that single purpose. Dog tags are now one of the hottest fashion items in high demand by youngsters, teenagers, and even those in their early 20s.

With the “military camo” look being in high fashion this fall we are sure to see an even bigger increase in the use of dog tags as a fashion accessory.

Not only are dog tags being used as a fashion item, but also as a promotional tool for events of all types. From weddings, birthday parties, bat/bar mitzvahs, graduations, corporate events, and much more. You may also spot them at local school clubs, charities or functioning as luggage tags for a group trip. And speaking of group trips – dog tags are being used as a identification piece for school trips with the child’s information and the school’s phone number in case the child get lost from their group.

To personalize dog tags we offer two great solutions – a manual machine (M10HE) and an automatic machine (MDT500HE). Both machines are simple to use. Our manual solution is great for low production due to the fact that the person operating the machine will need to set up and emboss the tag manually by the use of a lever. If you are planning for higher volume then our automatic solution is the right one for you – creating up to 135 dog tags per hour.

Take advantage of this great opportunity and start making some money! Contact one of our X-Tag Business Specialists at 305-890-2976 for more information on how you can quickly start up a dog tag business and make some money today!

A concept for all Faiths

A few months back a religious organization was looking for ways for their youth group to raise some funds at their annual carnival. They needed a product that was easy to order, sell and have a small start up cost. A member of the organization decided that X-Tag may be the way to go.

X-Tag provided this organization with the materials needed: dog tags, chains, silencers, and were approved to lease our dog tag embossing machine. With our easy to use dog tag embossing machine they were able to start up in no time. The day of the carnival they were embossing inspirational quotes onto the dog tags and selling them like hot cakes! It turned out that a little over half way through the night they ran out of dog tags and began taking orders by writing them on a piece of paper.

They then ordered more dog tags – and due to its great success they decided to keep the machine a bit longer to fulfill incoming orders and to raise some extra funds at some upcoming special events.

Forget carwashes - start selling dog tags!

A known method of raising funds for schools, teams and other organizations is the weekend carwash at a local parking lot. The conditions for all the individuals participating in this activity is not as fun as it seems – they are in the heat all day washing cars for donations or a very low price.

To avoid the Florida heat a local baseball team decided to take another approach. They contacted X-Tag and we designed a tag with the team’s name and mascot. We even helped them create a simple order form for all the team members to distribute for individuals interested in purchasing a personalized tag.

The fundraiser was a great success for them. They did not have to be outside in the heat flashing signs for a carwash and getting burnt by the sun. All they had to do was tell their family, friends, and dropping off the order form at their community centers and family workplaces. With the money they collected the team was able to finally purchase new uniforms!

Marching towards Nationals!

Recently a high school marching band in Florida made it to the National Championships thanks to the dog tags from X-Tag. When the marching band won at the state competition they realized that they were going to need funding to be able to attend the National Championships.

The captain of the marching band started to notice the trend that many of their fellow students were following – wearing dog tags as a fashion statement. They quickly started researching information on how they could create a fundraiser using dog tags and contacted X-Tag for some help.
We provided the marching band with dog tags, chains, silencers and a leased dog tag machine. They began selling the dog tags at the local school football games, pep rallies, assemblies, and to other afterschool groups and clubs. They even prepared an order form so fellow marching band members could get orders from friends and family outside of school. This project was such a success that they were able to fund their trip to the National Championships.
